Marc Isaacs

Personal Bio

A native of rural northern New York, Marc Isaacs developed his performance skills while working in local radio there in the mid-1990’s and then as a TV weathercaster before moving into professional acting in 2005. He’s a member of SAG-AFTRA, and studied weekly with veteran character actor and teacher Glenn Morshower for more than a year at The Extra Mile Acting Workshop in North Hollywood. Marc first studied acting for the stage at St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY as part of a Speech & Theatre major and performed in numerous plays while on campus.

Stints in commercial radio led to copywriting and voiceover opportunities and opened the door to a move to television where he served as a fill-in weathercaster at a top-rated CBS affiliate, despite no prior training in meteorology. It marked the beginning of a period of working in TV news and programming, both on camera and as a producer. After working as a weathercaster at his 5th TV station, Marc transitioned into acting and quickly found representation in the Houston, Texas market mainly doing commercials and industrials.

Marc’s film work began in short films, and he eventually added credits in features, including 2013 LIFETIME drama The Preacher’s Daughter. In 2016, Marc relocated to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he taught acting and filmmaking workshops. Also, he began serving in the Special Education department of a school district in the Milwaukee area. Later, after relocating to Culver City, California, he continued working with students with autism and other special needs at a private school for more than a year.

He’s a past board member of Women in Film & Television Houston, Texas, where he served as Vice President and became the first male board member of that chapter. A children’s educational TV series he co-created called HOUSTON ZOOPERSTARS CHALLENGE ran for three seasons on Houston’s CBS affiliate and earned two Lone Star Emmy nominations.
