Personal Bio

I’m an international award-winning screenwriter with a background in anthropology. This helps with writing stories about and for other cultures in a sensitive, comprehensive way. I have experience in feature films, documentaries, animation, TV drama MOW, TV sitcoms, training videos, short-format web-series and virtual reality.  

My favorite genres are comedy and drama.  As a hired writer, and even with my spec scripts, I seem to tend towards social activism. Perhaps that’s why I love writing animation and comedy because it takes me to a happy place.

As a full member of the Writers’ Guild of South Africa and have represented the guild in Miami and London.

I’m also very experienced in writing for the printed media and have a background in investigative journalism.
