Christopher J. Gannon

Personal Bio

Christopher John Gannon was born in Oceanside California to a working class family. His mother has a career in the grocery store business and his father works for the San Marcos Unified school district grounds worker. From age 10 on, he consistently made his own short films with his friends and discovered that he wanted to have a career in acting and film making.

After he finished high school his family couldn’t afford to send him to college. so in order to make that happen, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. For six years Chris served under stressful conditions where he gained 60 pounds and became an alcoholic and drug addict. This literally almost cost him his military career and his life.

In 2015, he separated from the United States Air Force with an honorable discharge. He started working for a heating and air conditioning company in San Diego California. Drugs and alcohol got fired within 6 months of having a stable career. At rock bottom, Chris had an epiphany and remembered why he signed up to serve in the first place.

He activated his GI Bill and headed off to Brooks Institute to study film. He realized that he preferred to be in front of the camera instead of behind it. He applied and got accepted to the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film institute in West Hollywood California. He is doing all he can on his way up, with the dreams and goals of becoming an A-List actor. He has dropped the 60 pounds and has been sober ever since this path became clear
