Bert Pigg

Personal Bio

Bert Pigg received his MFA from the American Film Institute Conservatory. Believing that historical fact is stranger and more interesting than fiction, Bert writes adaptations for the screen of grounded historical material that explore themes of resilience, redemption, and triumph over impossible odds. His screenplays have won numerous accolades at various U.S. and International screenplay competitions including wins for his World War I screenplay Some Desperate Glory at the 2026 Cannes Script Awards, the 2026 London Frames International Film Festival, and the 2024 New York Script Awards.

Bert also trained as an actor at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and has appeared in, directed, or produced more than 200 plays in the U.S., and the U.K.

Bert received his B.A. summa cum laude from Fordham University and holds a J.D. from Tulane University Law school.

Bert is married and is the humble servant of four cats and a dog.
