CASTING COMMERCIAL FOR MAJOR COMMUNICATIONS COMPANY
We are searching for SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS in the greater New York City and surrounding areas to appear in a PAID commercial for a major communications company.
PAY IS $3,000! (details below) – PLUS, a great opportunity to get free advertising and exposure for your business!
We are looking for ALL TYPES of local small businesses, shops, or family-owned businesses such as (but not limited to):
– Printing Stores / Services
– Factory | Plant Manufacturer
– Boutique Fitness Studios
– Robotics

Recently, small businesses have been dealing with the ongoing impact of the pandemic, social unrest, and environmental events. Black-owned businesses have been some of the hardest hit. According to the National Bureau of Economic Research, between February and April 2020, the number of active Black-owned businesses declined by 41%, Latinx-owned businesses declined by 32%, and Asian-owned businesses dropped by 25%, versus just 21% for the general population. This commercial is to provide awareness and support.
Submission Deadline: Photos AND online application due by Thursday October 29th, 2020 at 6pm EST
Interviews: A potential 15-minute interview with the director via ZOOM on Halloween, Saturday, October 31st, 2020
Wardrobe/Fitting: Potentially via Zoom on November 2nd, 2020
Filming: One day of filming on either November 11th or 12th, 2020 (most likely at your business, if possible)
Status: Non-SAG
Note: All COVID-19 safety precautions & guidelines will be followed for filming
*ALL PERSONS WILL BE REQUIRED TO GET COVID TESTED BEFORE FILMING!* (test will be arranged and paid for by production, must be at least 72 hours prior to shoot – no exceptions.)
PAY: $3,000! ($750 per person for filming day, plus additional $2,000 buyout per person if used in final edit of commercial, plus additional $250 for your time in getting a Covid-19 test (test will be arranged and paid for by production), PLUS, you’ll get free advertising and promotion for your company, as the name of your business will be featured in the commercial!
Please note: There will be an additional stipend amount if production films at your business.

Please note: Those selected for the commercial will have to agree to a basic Background Check. The client runs background checks on all employees. When hired as talent, you are considered a client employee and those job requirements fall within the jurisdiction of employment.
