SITCOM PILOT SCRIPTS WANTED AS WRITING SAMPLES / HIRING WRITER
—————————————————–
Seeking Sitcom Pilot Samples
—————————————————–
We are looking for completed sitcom pilot writing samples to assist in efforts to find a writer to hire for a pre-existing project.
The project is about a group of upper-class Indian-American (Asian Indian-American) women between the ages of 45-55 living in New York who meet for weekly get-togethers to laugh and share the emotional journeys of their lives. In these meetings, they sometimes tell stories about themselves and sometimes about their relationships with their spouses and adult children. We are looking to create a pilot that is funny, romantic, thought-provoking, and bold. “Desperate Housewives” and “American Housewife” are similar to the type of project we are trying to create, but focused on the Indian-American housewife experience.
We are specifically looking for writers who are familiar with Indian and Indian-American culture, so please make a note of your familiarity with this culture in the personal message space when submitting. Please also include a message in the personal message space stating why you think you would be a good fit to work on this project. If we think you would be a good fit, we will ask you to send two scenes from your sitcom sample that are good examples of your work. Please also mention where in the world you are based when submitting.
Our budget is yet to be determined. Both WGA and non-WGA writers are welcome to submit.
