ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Katie Hacala is
the Supervisor of Content Acquisition at Showtime Networks,
where she acquires independent films, documentaries, and comedy specials for
the network. She most recently negotiated the rights to the Showtime
documentary film Becoming Cary Grant, which premiered at the
2017 Cannes Film Festival, and More Than T, a groundbreaking
documentary highlighting seven transgender individuals directed by celebrated
filmmaker Silas Howard (Transparent). Katie has been at Showtime for
four years and is a proud alumna of The University of Michigan, where she
received her degree in Screen Arts & Cultures. She currently
resides in L.A.
