ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Shiondre Austin
serves as the Director of Animation Casting & Talent
Relations for Nickelodeon. She has been
with the company for 8 years. In this role, she casts all projects in
development as well as the celebrity roles for current series on Nickelodeon
and Nick Jr. Her credits include Teenage Mutant Ninja
Turtles, The Loud House, Sanjay &
Craig, The Legend of Korra, Bubble
Guppies, Shimmer & Shine, and Blaze
& the Monster Machines, to name a few. Shiondre
scouts for talent at showcases, comedy clubs, and festivals for development
opportunities. She graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a
degree in Communications Studies. While in college, she worked as a
freelance publicist for a variety of clients including music artists, a
clothing line, and a tattoo parlor. After graduating, she began
working for a marketing and public relations agency. Her background
in PR and talent relations led her to a career in casting.
