ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Megan Spanjian is
the Executive Vice President of Scripted Television at
The Weinstein
Company. As an independent film studio, the
Weinstein Company (TWC) was founded in New York City by Bob and Harvey
Weinstein in 2005. The studio originated after the Weinsteins left Miramax
Films, which they co-founded in 1979. The Weinstein Co. films include
Django Unchained, The King’s Speech,
Silver Linings Playbook, The Butler,
The Imitation Game, Scary Movie 4,
Paddington, and many more. During her time working
at TWC, Megan has been involved in the development of a numerous television
shows, including MTV’s “Scream,” and History’s
“Six,” as well as major projects in production such
as Spike’s “The Mist” and “Waco.”
Prior to Megan’s current post in Scripted Television at The Weinstein
Company, Megan worked in Drama Development at CBS.
