In this three-hour workshop, Emmy Award-winning storyboard artist and director John Over will lead you through the most important aspects of filmed storytelling: Story, the Storyboard, Visual Style, useful computer programs, and studio job specifics.
After that, you’ll get the opportunity to plan some funny and dramatic scenes along with Mr. Over. And he’ll give you direct feedback and advice on your work! So come out for some creative, no-hassle fun as you learn all the requirements for effective visual storytelling!

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
John Over is a creative writer and director whose work has always been associated with long-running, successful franchises. John has a reputation for displaying his unique ability to manage large teams of diverse talents to deliver outstanding Emmy and BAFTA winning material for a worldwide market. He has directed, designed, written, and produced animation for television for over 20 years, including Animaniacs, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Pinky & the Brain, and Pink Panther & Pals. His work has aired on a number of networks, including FOX, Cartoon Network, and PBS, and under his guidance, his shows have received more than 30 Emmy nominations. John has taught animation at Cal State University Northridge, and he also designed the mascot for the U.S.-hosted World Cup in 1994.
