DeVon Franklin is

the President & CEO of Franklin Entertainment, a

dynamic multi-media entertainment company that produces inspirational and

commercial content.  Franklin Entertainment recently signed a new

multi-year first-look film deal with 20th CENTURY

FOX.

Franklin produced the hit film “MIRACLES

FROM HEAVEN” starring Jennifer Garner and

Queen Latifah. Made for a modest $13 million, it grossed $73

million at the worldwide box office to date, making it one of the

top-grossing faith-based films of all-time.  DeVon

is also exec-producing the upcoming animated film “THE

STAR” for Sony Pictures Animation.  Slated for release

November of 2017, it is the first faith-based animated film to be released by a

major Hollywood studio since THE PRINCE OF EGYPT.  The film features

the voices of Oprah, Kristin Chenoweth,

Steven Yeun, Gina Rodriguez,

Christopher Plummer, Zachary Levi,

Kris Kristofferson, Tyler Perry,

Ving Rhames, Anthony Anderson,

Tracy Morgan, and Kelly Clarkson.

 In addition, he has several projects in various stages of development

including the high-profile reboot of “HE-MAN AND THE MASTERS OF

THE UNIVERSE” franchise at Columbia Pictures; a remake of the

classic 1970s film “COOLEY HIGH” with Common at

MGM, film adaptations of the inspirational true story THE

IMPOSSIBLE and the powerful re-incarnation story “THE

side, DeVon is also producing a re-imagining of the iconic film “FOXY

BROWN” at HULU, with Meagan Good attached to

Franklin, an award-winning Film

& TV producer and best-selling author, is a former Senior Vice

President of COLUMBIA PICTURES, where he was one of the

highest ranking African-American studio executives in the industry.

 During his near 10 year tenure, he championed some of Hollywood’s

biggest box-office hits such as THE PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS,

THE KARATE KID, JUMPING THE BROOM, and

HEAVEN IS FOR REAL.

He is a newly elected member of the

Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) where he chairs the

Executive Branch subcommittee on Diversity.

DeVon is also an

internationally-known preacher and motivational speaker.  A recognized

authority on spirituality, faith, and the entertainment business, he is

committed to using the power of media as an inspirational tool.  OPRAH
