HIRING SOUND & LIGHTING TECH

UPSTAGE CHILDERENS MUSIC THEATRE COMPANY

PART-TIME

We are now HIRING A SOUND & LIGHTING TECH for the Upstage Theatre School, a children’s music theatre company with many programs in the greater Los Angeles area.

Open to those with little experience (we will train on the job!), and open to  very experienced technicians as well.

We are looking for someone who can be our lead sound and lighting technician.    If you have the right attitude and willingness to learn, this could be the job for you.

Responsibilities include:

–  Keeping an inventory of the equipment

–  Having a working knowledge of each location

–  Must have a car to transport equipment to and from storage facility to venues, and load it out at the end of each show

–  Set up equipment and run it for all dress rehearsals and shows

There is on the job training and learning, but the ideal candidate must be a self-starter and work well with the greater team.

HOURS:  Part-Time/Contract, and there are about 20 – 25 shows per year (shows run Thursday-Saturday).

PAY:  $10K-$15K annually

COVID-19 considerations:  All staff are currently required to wear masks while onsite per LADPH guidelines.
