CASTING LEAD ROLE FOR NEW SERIES
We are now casting NATIONWIDE for an ASIAN OR MIXED-ASIAN ACTRESS to play one of the LEAD ROLES in a new gothic action thriller TV series called The Guardian Program – it’s like “The Queen’s Gambit” meets “The Hunger Games” and “Blade Runner.”
ROLE:
Master Strategist Detective Julia Jeng (Lead Role)
Female / Asian or Mixed-Asian / looks in 20s (character is age 26) / Height: around 5’5″ to 5’11”
If the actress is Korean or at least part Korean, that is a bonus, but not required.
Body type should be similar to someone who has done Pilates and/or CrossFit. Julia is gender fluid and a beautiful tomboy, and will have a lot of Action scenes. You’re NOT required to have a fight/action/stunt background, but if you happen to have any experience in those areas, or have some basic Martial Arts Training or other physical activities like a dance background, please note that in your submission. It’s an added plus, but again, NOT required!
This is an ENGLISH speaking role. Also a deep or low voice is a bonus.
Status: Open to both SAG and non-SAG talent (This is a SAG Union shoot, PAID role, and we will Taft-Hartley if required)
Pay: SAG scale
Short Synopsis:
If you like The Queen’s Gambit, BBC’s Sherlock, Death Note, Blade Runner, or The Hunger Games, here’s a new Gothic Live Action Thriller filled with mystery and epic action with a twist! The Master Strategist, Detective Julia Jeng, must play a Deadly chess game with her team’s lives in order to stop her childhood friend, The Master Manipulator and rogue cop, from seeking Revenge in a futuristic gothic New York City where criminals help the police fight crime in exchange for freedom.
This will be a live action TV series, and we are also planning a separate anime series, a video game, a comic book/manga series, and a line of merchandise and collectibles.
We are aiming to film the 1-hour TV Pilot soon on this multi-season series, so we hope to find the right actress ASAP!
NOTE: Regarding Covid-19 safety protocols, please note that all in-person filming will be done in accordance with all federal and local standards set by the CDC at the time of filming.
