CASTING COMMERCIAL FOR MAJOR TRAVEL COMPANY
We are searching for ALL TYPES of REAL PEOPLE (kids & adults) who are in the Northern California area to be casting in a commercial for Expedia! (you do not need to be an Expedia user – just match one of the descriptions below!)
GREAT PAY: $1,600 for a short, fun shoot! NO ACTING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!
CASTING IMMEDIATELY – SUBMIT ASAP!
This Director LOVES working with REAL PEOPLE (you can also be an actor, but you MUST meet one of these descriptions in real life as well – i.e., not portraying a role, but really matching this description).
We are looking for real people who are AUTHENTICALLY one of the following descriptions:
– REAL ASIAN RESTAURANT WORKER: (Cafe / Ramen Shop / Eatery, etc.) – Male or Female / ages 40+, Asian. Should be working (or have worked) at an Asian restaurant. Note: this role has a couple lines as you serve homemade noodles to a group of friends traveling.
– KID MARTIAL ARTISTS: (male and female, all ethnicities) Can be any martial artist (karate, kung fu, judo, etc.) with a uniform. You do NOT need to be experts, just be able to do a few forms & spar w/a partner (Please submit as 2 friends or siblings that take martial arts together).
– REAL CROSSING GUARD: (male or female, all ages, all ethnicities). Someone who actually works or has worked as a real crossing guard – you’ll be portraying someone helping students cross the street.
– KIDS WHO PLAY BASKETBALL OR BASEBALL TOGETHER (older team): (male or female, ages 13-16, all ethnicities). Seeking real diverse groups of friends/siblings that play basketball or baseball together for fun or on a team. You’ll be portraying an older team who teases the younger team on the court / field. Please submit as a group of 3 – 5 kids.
– KIDS WHO PLAY BASKETBALL OR BASEBALL TOGETHER (younger team): (male or female, ages 9-12, all ethnicities). Seeking real diverse groups of friends/siblings that play basketball or baseball together for fun or on a team. You’ll be portraying a younger team who is teased by an older team on the court / field. Please submit as a group of 3 – 5 kids.
– JAPANESE STUDENTS/FRIENDS: (Japanese, male or female, ages 9-13). We’re looking for real groups of actual school friends/siblings. Some ability in Japanese language is a big plus (you don’t need to be fluent, but you’ll possibly have a line or two that is in Japanese, and you’ll need to sound credible). Please submit as a group, with up to 7 kids.
– CHEERLEADING GROUP: (male or female / middle school or high school age, appx. ages 11-16 / all ethnicities). Open to current or ex cheerleaders. Please submit as a group of up to 5 kids.
Project: Commercial for Expedia (you do NOT need to be an Expedia user)
Auditions: CASTING IMMEDIATELY – auditions on Wednesday & Thursday, March 13th and 14th, 2022 online via Zoom.
Callbacks: Friday April 15th, 2022 with the director
Fittings: 1 day on either April 18th – 20th, 2022
Shoot: 1 day on sometime between April 21st – 23rd, 2022 in San Francisco Area (you just be willing to get yourself there at your own expense for the shoot). Please note we will NOT be filming at your shop or location, but on our set. All talent must test negative for Covid-19 prior to shoot.
Status: This is NON-UNION
Usage / Run: 1 year all media, worldwide
PAY: $1,600 ($500/per shoot day + 15% agency fee (if applicable), PLUS $1,000/buyout + 15% agency fee (if applicable), PLUS $50 Covid Test compensation for your time, PLUS $50 for the fitting session)
NOTE: Regarding Covid-19 safety protocols, please note that all in-person filming will be done in accordance with all federal and local standards at the time of filming.
