CASTING ACTORS FOR SHORT FILM
SEVERAL ROLES AVAILABLE
We are now CASTING ACTORS for several roles for the short film Color Blind, shooting in Los Angeles. There is pay.
Color Blind – synopsis:
Tiffany has a successful career and a popping social life. The only thing missing is a man. She doesn’t want any man. He must be a black man and meet all the criteria on her list. Tiffany is so focused on the ethnicity of her dream man that she doesn’t notice the man of her dreams is present in her life.
ROLES:
TIFFANY:
Black female / age 30 to 35. She is an attractive, intelligent, determined, and picky woman who has her whole life planned out. She has a thriving career and a popping social life. Her only problem is that she can’t seem to keep a man.
ROBERT:
White male / age 30 to 35. Robert is Tiffany’s best friend. He is intelligent, attractive with a lot of swag, laid-back, supportive, and compassionate. Robert has a culturally diverse upbringing. He’s in love with Tiffany.
OCTAVIA:
Black female / ages 30 to 35. Octavia is Tiffany’s closest girlfriend. Octavia is outspoken, stubborn, unapologetic, and insistent. She doesn’t understand why her friends think she is judgmental because her POV is different from theirs. She sees everything as black and white.
MICHELLE:
Black female / age 30 to 35. She’s outspoken, supportive, funny, and sarcastic. She’s complex but a straight shooter. Think Maya from Girlfriend and Cookie (Empire).
SADE:
Black female / age 30 to 35. Sade is the fun, charismatic, free-spirited, live-for-the-moment, love-love type of woman. She is not as opinionated as her friends, but she speaks her mind and loves showing her curves. Think Lynn from Girlfriends or Samantha from Sex in the City.
CUSTOMER:
Black female / age 55 to 60. A stylish, elegant, wise, witty, older lady who overhears Tiffany and her friends talking about relationships. She gives them some unsolicited advice about life and dating. Think Loretta Divine and Jennifer Lewis.
DATES:
Shoot location: Los Angeles
Audition: 1/5/2022
Rehearsal: 1/21/2022
Shoot Dates:
1/28/22 – 1/29, 2022 (for Tiffany, Octavia, Michelle, & Sade)
1/28, 1/29 & 1/30, 2022 (Tiffany )
1/29/2022 (Customer)
1/30/22 (Robert)
Status: Non-union
PAY RATE: $50 per day, plus food, credit, and some footage for your reel.
NOTE: Regarding Covid-19 safety protocols, please note that all in-person filming will be done in accordance with all federal and local standards at the time of filming.
