CASTING ACTORS FOR LEAD ROLES IN FEATURE FILM
NOW CASTING (CHICAGO)
We are now CASTING ACTORS (male and female) for the feature film SISTERS, filming in Chicago.
Actors will be hired as a Local Hire situation – meaning you can be from anywhere, as long as you provide your own accommodations and travel to Chicago.
SISTERS is a film about four estranged sisters. Their mother leaves them the family business to run in hopes that it will bring them closer together as siblings.

CASTING THE FOLLOWING ROLES:
DEVONNA
Black female (Ages 40 to 45). Curvy, shapely, judgmental, sanctified, caring, motivator, she’s an ex-stripper and nail technician who became a devoted Christian. She spends most of her days with the church elders, praying and spreading the word of God and ignoring her duties as a wife and mother.
OCTAVIA
Black female (Age 30 to 35). Independent, tenacious, ambitious, loyal, hairstylist who gave up on her dream of being a fashion designer to please her mother by following in her footsteps in doing hair. She’s reliable, a giver, and always puts other people’s needs and feelings before hers.
TABITHA
Black female (Age 30 to 35). Nicely built, model looks, self-centered, bougie, vulnerable. She’s a broke struggling artist who pretends to have more than she does. Her rich father cut her off financially when she decided to pursue a singing career. People judge her harshly due to her upscale mannerism. She has been estranged from her sisters for 10 years. Her mentality is, it’s me against the world.
SHAVONTAE
Black female (Age 20 to 25). Curvy, feisty, fun, opinionated, outspoken, fashionable, and a big flirt. Shavontae is the player of the family who dates multiple men. She’s a hairstylist. She loves, admires, and is overly protective of her older sister Octavia.
JAMES
Male – Black, Mixed Ethnicity, or white ethnicities (Age 25 to 30). Well-groomed, openly gay, confident, with a sarcastic sense of humor. Vanetta, the sisters’ mother, took him in and taught him how to earn a living doing hair. He’s the eyes of the salon. He’s close to Octavia, but is Shavontae’s partner in crime.
Project: Sisters (Micro-Budget Feature Film)
Location: Chicago
Tentative Shoot Dates: December 9th – 19th, 2021
Status: Non-Union
PAY: $150 per day
The pay is low, but the benefit is plentiful. This is a great opportunity for talent to showcase their skills as a leading actor.
NOTE: Regarding Covid-19 safety protocols, please note that all in-person filming will be done in accordance with all federal and local standards at the time of filming.
