Hi everyone, Here’s info on the ASIAN WORLD FILM FESTIVAL now in full swing!  If you missed the Opening Night Gala with a turnout of incredible stars from Stranger Things, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Fresh Off the Boat, Joy Luck Club, and execs from Alibaba, and many more, including an appearance by Angelina Jolie this week – you DEFINITELY won’t want to miss the RED CARPET CLOSING NIGHT GALA and screening with George Takei, with more incredible celebrities, top execs, producers, and creators to be in attendance.  And don’t miss the CHINA NIGHT GALA (tonight!), the SHORT FILM AWARDS, and the many other SCREENINGS going on throughout the festival! Plus PANELS including execs from Wanda Studios, CAA, Fox International, and East West Bank. I’ve seen some incredible films so far – with more heart, humanity, and drama than in your typical Hollywood films – so you definitely don’t want to miss the screenings!

ABOUT

THE FESTIVAL:

The Asian World Film Festival

(AWFF), now in its third year, brings the best of a

broad selection of Asian World cinema to Los Angeles in order to draw greater

recognition to the region’s wealth of Filmmakers and strengthen ties between

the Asian and Hollywood film industries.  Uniting through

cross-cultural collaboration, the Festival champions films from over 50

countries across Asia, spanning from Turkey to Japan and Russia to India.

Our Festival is unique in its concept in that it predominantly

screens films from countries within the Asian Continent which have been

submitted to the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences and the Golden

Globes for Best Foreign Language Film.  Last year we screened 21 Oscar
