Andrew Takacs

Personal Bio

I grew up in Prince George’s County, Maryland, where nobody I knew worked in film, and taught myself the craft with a camera and a lot of stubbornness. That turned into a Film & Media Studies degree from Colgate, where I also spent four years as a Division I ice hockey goaltender – 35+ hours a week in the rink while keeping a 3.96 GPA. Hockey taught me how to represent a team and stay composed when everyone’s watching; filmmaking taught me how to build something from nothing and see it through to the final edit. Now I’m in LA looking for my next opportunity working across representation and production – while currently serving part-time developing clients and athletes at Wolfe Hockey Development, leading marketing, project management, and executive assistance at Hills & Thrills. I’ve been the “talent” and I’ve been behind the camera, and I want a career that uses both.
