ABOUT THE SPEAKER:

Alexa Whiteside, Esq. is the CEO and founding partner of WAM Entertainment Law, a bi-coastal boutique firm representing filmmakers, authors, and content creators across film, television, publishing, and media in California, New York, and North Carolina.  With over 15 years in the entertainment and media industry and more than 150 production credits, Alexa brings deep experience navigating the legal and business side of production and distribution, including extensive experience in projects financed through sponsorships and brand partnerships.  She began her career in New York as an independent producer and casting assistant before becoming an entertainment attorney.  Prior to launching her firm, she served as Vice President of Business Affairs at Hearst Media Production Group where she oversaw thousands of episodes of sponsored and educational programming and a senior associate at RAMO.  Her credits include Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom: Protecting the Wild (NBC), Jack Daniel’s Chasing Whiskey, Lyft Legends (LOL! Network), Old Spice’s Cold as Balls (LOL! Network), Race: Bubba Wallace (Netflix), and the Women Write Now screenwriting fellowship established by LOL! Network and the Sundance Institute sponsored by Chase.
