Personal Bio

RICHARD TANNER has Guest-Starred in dozens of primetime episodics, from THE GOLDEN GIRLS (in which he first came to the public’s attention as “Young Stan”) to his recurring role on CBS’ THE AGENCY. Other notable appearances include THIS IS US,  SILICON VALLEY, THE WEST WING, and STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE.

Forthcoming features include, VHYes, produced by Tim Robbins.

A native New Yorker and Phi Beta Kappa graduate from Cornell, Richard has worked extensively with improv and sketch groups on both coasts, and has performed standup at such clubs as The Ice House, The Comedy Store, and the Improv.  Onstage, he appeared in the West Coast premiere of JOINED AT THE HEAD at the Pasadena Playhouse, and was an original cast member/co-creator of the long running Off-Broadway hit, GRANDMA SYLVIA’S FUNERAL.

His one-man show, small PARTS, was produced in Los Angeles in 2012, and garnered critical acclaim at the 2014 Hollywood Fringe Festival.

His writing has appeared in such publications as Esquire, The Village Voice, and The N.Y Daily News.
