Personal Bio

Having grown up in the now famous OC, Renata has always been drawn to mediums of self-expression. While at a crossroads in her life she came to a profound decision to confront all her fears and took an acting class with Richard Hatch, star of the TV series Battlestar Galactica. This class was a turning point that began an incredible personal journey to become a storyteller.

With an eye towards directing, Renata attended a four year acting program at the renowned Playhouse West School & Repertory Theatre in Los Angeles under the tutelage of veteran actor Jeff Goldblum, believing that in order to get a great performance a director should understand the actors journey and speak their language.

She has since been involved with film production over the past ten years as well as having worked for the FOX reality TV show Trading Spouses.  She has received two Best Director nominations and her debut feature film What’s Eating Todd?, received distribution from Indican Pictures.

She is currently in development on the feature film Stand The Gaff, a passion project that she is dedicating to those who have served in the armed forces. After performing for eight years in the stage play Welcome Home Soldier, she is hoping that this film will touch others and help plant a seed for healing.
