Personal Bio

My interest in writing and ‘telling stories’ first came to realisation when, as a kid and as many other writers and readers will understand, a teacher, Mrs. Saunders, got me to read out poetry in class. “I must go down to the sea again, to the lonely sea and the sky…” Then my folks bought me a copy of ‘Winnie the Pooh’ and I didn’t look back. The background I draw on to write my novels and screenplays is varied; rock drummer, conservationist, theatre production manager and dog trainer. All these experiences have helped me create the characters and the lives I devise for them. I base all my novels on true-to-life situations taken from everyday events or historical facts and weave them into a dramatic story which aims to amuse, excite, illuminate and entertain. I try to remain true to the character (even when I don’t like them very much). AS you will all know, this can sometimes prove tricky, but as I’m in charge of this world, I see it through to its conclusion come hell or high water…
