Personal Bio

Mary has appeared on many screens, of all shapes & sizes:

On the Big Screen: George Clooney yelled at her a lot in Alexander Payne’s Oscar-winning film The Descendants. Kristin Stewart yelled at her a lot, too,  in Adventureland (but really quietly, almost w/o moving her lips).

On Small Screens: Mary yelled at her son Greg a lot (aka “Cousin Greg”) in SUCCESSION, on HBO. In The Knick, she yelled racist slurs as a boozy Irish immigrant who starts a race riot in 1900. In Scream Queens, she spoke in a reasonable tone of voice, using 14 different accents (convincingly) in one episode.  Also – Reno 911, The Daily Show w/Jon Stewart, Raising Hope, & The Middle.

Teeny Tiny Screens: 365 Characters In 365 Days on YouTube

Look, Ma— No Screens!: On B’way: Hairspray, & Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me! Off: Love, Loss & What I Wore (w/Nora Ephron & Jane Lynch). Off-Off: Solo shows, stand-up, plays, musicals, rock bands, sketch comedy, & improv, all done in church basements, abandoned lofts, & yes, even a prison or two.
