Personal Bio

Hello,

My name is Luana Proffit, I am twenty years old (09/07/1999) and I come from La Rochelle, a small town in the west coast of France. I have moved to Los Angeles 3 months ago in order to achieve one of my biggest dream, which is working in the film industry as an actress. Hence, I decided two years ago, during my gap year in London, to manage to studying acting in America where I could learn new methods, meet new people, improve my acting english skills and to discover the reel world of this industry. I’m currently studying Acting at UCLA Extension for the year that it is for me a great opportunity to get more experiences and see where my determination can brings me. Instead of waiting to be actress, I am also interested by all the diverse jobs behind the camera as assistant production or direction, casting director, management of the shoot…

My whole childhood, I have been attracted by the arts community such as dancing, acting, but also singing. Indeed, I practiced several types of dance for six years that it has helped to free my mind and feel better inside. All my learnings during my dancing class or singing class allows me to react variously during some periods of my life such as before a shoot or an interview, actually I use them to be relaxed and concentred.

Passionate, and motived to discover this world, I decided to sign me up in an association in La Rochelle where actors/actresses, extras, technicians are gathered. Then, I had the opportunity to pass some castings and be chosen for supporting and background roles for French director. Therefore, through these experiences, I discovered my acting skills, my relation with each other, -that for me an essential part when you are working on a project with a crew- and also my initiative take with a reel communication development. Moreover, I have been surprised of my interested for the technics and management jobs which has increased my facility and enthusiasm to be part of a crew.

Since I am arrived in Los Angeles, I try to learn as much as it is possible trough diverse student projects. It is a significant part to be willing to propose my help for small project like that in order to meet new people, and try, step by step, to find the possibility to do it as my job.

As I am concerned of how the film-industry works here, I would like doing an internship based in Los Angeles in a view of keeping on my objective and never stop believing of it.

For all of the reasons described belong, I am truly determined to be involved in this internship and so allow me to develop my knowledges. I will be respectful, a hard-working and I will do my best in all cases.
