Personal Bio

I proudly manage the remarkable Dan Ashley who brings his distinctive voice and unique life experience to his music with his Americana rock band that just goes by his name, Dan Ashley (danashleymusic.com). Dan’s current album, “Out There,” features upbeat rock songs and gentle ballads filled with passionate stories, and the band played Outside Lands 2023. Dan actually has two careers, as he is also the longtime award-winning evening news anchor on ABC7 in San Francisco. He is a highly respected philanthropist who is involved with local foundations and charities as a performer and as an emcee/host. He produces his annual Benefit, Rock the CASA (rockthecasa.org).

I recently served for a few years on the Advisory Board of The Bammies Music Foundation (bammiesmusicfoundation.org) based in the SF Bay Area.  
West Coast Songwriters is about to celebrate its 43rd year, and I had been a co-producer for the organization’s local cable television’s songwriting competitions for 10 years and won a West Region’s Alliance for Community Media WAVE (Western Access Video Excellence) Award in 2019. I also worked at the WCS’s annual Conference for 20 years. (westcoastsongwriters.org)
This is my 22nd year as a member of The Recording Academy, producers of The Grammy Awards. I served on the Board of Governors, and I continue to be active in the SF Chapter including serving as Captain for the Recording Academy’s annual District Advocate Day, a nationwide movement to continue urging Congress to support music and musicians. I am also a member of the Grammy Museum, Broadcast Legends (Producers of the Bay Area Radio Hall of Fame), the California Historical Radio Society, and the Northern California Emmy Awards.
