Personal Bio

If you are for Potus 45 just stop reading this bio right now and move on.  I am an actor with a Theater Degree and Business Economics degrees from McDaniel College (Phi Beta Kappa and honors in Theater and Economics). My focus in acting in college was Modern Realistic Drama and the classics.  My teacher was an expert in Eugene O’Neill.

I just joined Mensa. I scored an 1880 on the GRE when I applied to Graduate School making me Mensa eligible.

I have a Masters in Performing Arts Management with a focus on TV and film acting from American University (GPA 3.4), and a law degree from Catholic University.  I have not practiced law. My focus in law was communication, copyright, electronic mass media, and 4th estate religious freedom.  I actually took Communication and Art law classes at American University taught by working lawyers in those fields in Graduate school pre law and worked for the Washington Area Lawyers for the Arts as an art education intern and with their board’s strategic planning.   I have a certificate from American Academy in Dramatic Arts summer program and a Certificate in Digital Media from Santa Monica college (GPA 3.6) where I also took all of the required classes for film production except Film 33.  I also took voice and dialect classes at Santa Monica college.

I studied Script reading at UCLA extension and for a time judged scripts for Script Writers network.  I’ve also taken script workshops and classes both back east and at various places in Los Angeles.

I have studied to use Premiere Pro, Avid, Final Cut, Photoshop, After Effects and Lightroom.  I have Adobe CS4 masters collection.

I created a website called ArtisticHope.com where I write about art and art issues. I am the webmaster for my sites, writer, photographer, editor, and content creator.    I also am womenlovepeace.com which I’m making my site for film projects I’ve made or am working on.

Artistic hope

And “women love peace” are my registered business names.

I used to volunteer on Sunday and Monday with horses working to empower girls to be leaders and to help them over come challenges in their life.  I primarily work with the horses.  I also volunteer to do beach clean ups for Heal the Bay.  I’m a breast cancer survivor. Kristi Funk was my doctor.  I also have and am an advocate to educate people about autoimmune diseases.  I have hashimotis and vitiligo. I also have a latex pork and yeast allergy. I’m on a strict diet.

I write Theater reviews and have been a professional art theater reporter for various publications on line & in print. My Masters qualifies me to be a “critic” though I prefer the title reporter.

I also write poetry and have participated in several poetry readings, particularly Max 10 in Venice.

Finally I have been a photographer both as a citizen journalist, art theater reporter, and even a set photographer.  I started in black and white in the late 80s amd switched to digital in 2007.  I do not at this time own a mirrorless camera.  I have a canon 20D.

I like archery & horses & yoga & dogs & hiking.  I’m also vegan.  I’m not preachy about my veganism. I’m an advocate to end slaughtering horses.

I love thrillers, Drama, period dramas, vampire movies, fantasy and science fiction.  I love books and I would choose Dickenson & Bronte sisters over Jane Austin.  I also love Shakespeare and Doyle.  I’m a Sherlokian. I love Patterson.  I’m a mystery Detective story fan.

As a kid I wanted to be Laura Holt.

I am a Democrat.
