Personal Bio

As a playwright I have written 42 plays, ten of which have been produced OOB and in New York State community theaters while most of the others have received staged readings with community theater groups such as the Elmwood Theater, the Antrim Playhouse and the Shades Repertory Theater, all in Rockland County in New York State.  In NYC I was Resident Playwright for the Actors Creative Theater headed up by Ernie Martin, a leading Director and Acting Teacher with the Actors Studio in NYC and as the Artistic Director of the Actors Studio West in L.A. Ernie’s wife was actress Ann Wedgeworth who worked with me in the rewriting of my play, “Women of Armagh” which received a favorable review in the New York Times,  Most recently I completed my play “A Dusky Damsel” a DocuDrama based on the life of Ida Wells Barnett who led the fight against lynching in the late 1800’s into the early 1900’s.  I have written four screenplays as feature length films which have not been produced as yet.
