Personal Bio
CURRENT ACTIVITY and BIOG, Credits underneath.
I am in advanced development with my second feature, ‘Day Six’, as writer/director. We are securing further finance, casting and developing visual ideas. I am also working on a first draft of the pilot for the series: ‘Grace O’Malley, The Sea Queen,’ with co-writer Alexander Emmert.
BIOG.
My forte and passion is creating universal, strongly structured worlds and characters, and bending genre for online, TV and Film use. I have a highly original, very 21st century style, a developed psychological approach, and an awareness of culture world-wide, born of travel and experience. I made zero budget ‘Gracie’ from almost a standing start, but I was already experienced with actors, and working with groups, and a lot with real people, to create an artistic result. I am a good communicator and have a good sense of movement and a distinctive ‘eye’ for shot composition, however big or small the budget.
I tell layered stories which explore the human condition and entertain, and have written since I was a kid. At 12, I was top at creative writing at my high school in Harrow, London, where I’m from. I am a member of Directors UK. I’ve studied spiritual and esoteric disciplines; whose ideologies often end up in my writing. I’m also a lay astrologer and novice Tarot reader.
I support conservation and world ecology, and these themes run through all my stories. I read about health and fitness, and have worked out in some shape or form for most of my life. I am also interested in food and diet, and believe that food can cure us, but I’m no extremist. i love animals, especially cats. From 6 -16 years, I studied dance seriously to become a dancer/choreographer. It is this early passion, plus beauty/film/fashion make-up artistry experience in my first career, which has given me a developed sense of framing and movement. I am honest about what I can do, which means I deliver on time and within specifications, but always with an original twist.
