Personal Bio

James C. Peters – award-winning screenwriter, script consultant and producer whose credits include two films (CAT DEX:  INKOSI (short) – Assoc. Producer; and Exec. Producer of TURNOVER (Linda Palmer’s feature in post)) and two festival screenwriting wins (FEI JI – WildSound FF Toronto, Dec. 2015; and NEIGHBORS AND STRANGERS (as MR. HIGH AND MIGHTY) at Capital Fund Screenplay Competition, Burbank, CA, Oct. 2016), plus high placements for his work (incl. DEAD HEAD, finalist at Creative World Awards, 2018).  NEIGHBORS AND STRANGERS will begin pre-production in Winter 2019.  He taught community college screenwriting for three years and provided consulting services for film producers, Austin Film Festival, Creative World Awards, and private clients everywhere.  He holds a certificate in screenwriting (with distinction) from UCLA and another from NY Film Academy (Universal Studios Campus in Burbank, CA).   Studied under Chrys Balis and Sonny Calderon and holds two other degrees.
