I once went to school for myth. So I got to wondering, in 1997, what starts a myth. Then Princess Diana died and I saw a great outpouring of love and respect for this woman. So I wondered, what if I wrote a play with music in her honor, and because she is so famous and loved now then maybe it will fly off into the future, like a UFO, into becoming a myth.

What were the conversations of yore that formed the basis of our belief in the actions of gods even today? Myth. I tried to make my play as wholesome and heartfelt and fun as possible and ended it with a complex, and hopefully beautiful musical interlude. 

But I knew when I wrote it that I would never be able to produce it, not for at least twenty years. I was right. Now they are telling the story of Diana more and more so I can show my wares to the world now, through the production of a film based on a novel which has the play included.

Back when I wrote it I wanted to put it into CD form inside of the novel. Now, I guess you could just give it away as a download. 

I have a lot of literary product that I want to unload. If anybody is interested. I live in Las Vegas so I can’t become a Hollywood PA anymore, although I’ve done plenty of that in TV in Vegas and Santa Barbara.

I suppose if I were to have a job it would be the producer of my own film. I would also like to direct it, but am honestly not sure if Hollywood ever does such a thing; give a major motion picture to a novice. I have been thinking about the scenes for a long time, though, all the little nuances. 

Am starting to write more on Substack. Have a newsletter called The Fargo Kantrowitz’z Literary Campsite, where I put odds and ends and will eventually put up whole literary works of the longer variety.
