Personal Bio
Eric J. Adams is an award-winning producer, screenwriter, and investigative journalist. He co-produced and wrote the screenplay for the award-winning feature film Supremacy, starring Danny Glover and Academy-Award winner Mahershala Ali. Eric also co-wrote and produced My Suicide (aka Archie’s Final Project), winner of 21 major international film festival awards, including the Crystal Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival. Most recently, Eric produced Rickshaw Girl, the first-ever US-Bangladeshi feature co-production, winner of ten major festival awards, including the Audience Award at the Mill Valley Film Festival.
With his company, Sleeperwave Films, Eric relies on his unique background as a journalist to develop projects exploring contemporary social issues. In recognition of his efforts, the San Francisco Film Society recently named Eric a Djerassi Screenwriting Fellowship finalist.
Eric holds a Masters Degree in Film Studies from Sonoma State University and teaches screenwriting and film production at colleges and universities around the world.
Eric holds a Masters of Arts in Film Studies from Sonoma State University and a Film and Television Industry Certificate from NYU/Tisch School of the Arts.
