Personal Bio

My name is Elizabeth Dawn and I’m a web designer with over 5 years of experience in the field of marketing and design. I’m passionate about crafting beautiful and functional websites that bring my clients’ visions to life.

My first experience working in design was in a small marketing agency. There, I honed my skills and learned the ins and outs of the industry. I worked on a variety of projects, from small business websites to large e-commerce sites. I also had the opportunity to work with a variety of clients, which taught me the importance of clear communication and collaboration.

After a few years working for both marketing agencies and making websites freelance, I decided to strike out on my own and start my own web design business. It was a scary decision, but I knew it was the right one if I wanted to make a strong impact in the online world. I wanted to be able to work on projects that I was truly passionate about and create websites that had the look and feel that I wanted, and not create another website from some cookie-cutter template.

I’ve been very fortunate to work with a variety of amazing clients. I’ve worked with small businesses, law firms, non-profits, entrepreneurs, tech startups, large corporations, and government websites. Each project has been unique and has presented its own set of challenges, but I’ve enjoyed every moment of the process as it has made me extremely versatile as a web designer.

Being a good web designer in my opinion comes down to the focus on both form and function. I believe that a website should not only look beautiful and be just as unique as you are, but also be easy to use and navigate for your website’s visitors. I take the time to understand my clients’ needs and goals for their website, and I use that information to create a design that is user-friendly without having to sacrifice bold creativity.

My goal as a web designer is to bring the magic back into web design. I remember loving the look and feel of my Myspace profile as an early teen using HTML to custom code my profile to have animated pink zebra glitter backgrounds and my favorite music playing first thing when you’d click my photo. The idea of customization and standing out from the crowd has been buried by short-term solutions like templates or certain formulas for capturing information, and in my opinion I think it’s time to rise up and add some color and individuality to the Internet.
