Personal Bio
Diana S. Zimmerman
Diana’s role in the creative arts, as well as the business world, transcends the ordinary. From an impoverished childhood to becoming the foremost lady magician in the world, a best-selling author, strategic branding expert, scriptwriter, entrepreneur, and philanthropist, her life is as magical as it is inspiring.
Diana has always thought differently. At the age of 18, she arrived in Hollywood with big dreams and $47 dollars to her name. By 22, she had become the “World’s Foremost Lady Magician.” She toured the world; starred in her own Television Show; appeared on virtually every TV talk-show and numerous television specials; and was the magical spokesperson for dozens of companies. Today, she continues to sponsor the Junior Magicians Club—a youth group she founded with the help of legendary actor, Cary Grant—at Hollywood’s famous Magic Castle. Diana was recently a guest on CBS promoting the life of Cary Grant for their new docuseries.
She has invented tricks and illusions performed by magic superstars including Criss Angel, Lance Burton, David Copperfield, and social-media mega-star Collins Key (25-plus million YouTube subscribers). Diana broke the mold on America’s Got Talent when she insisted that Collins not perform big illusions, but a more intimate style of magic that included the AGT hosts. Six of the eight tricks he performed were invented by Diana.
Her entertainment credentials are paved with equally impressive business credentials. She founded CMS Communications, Inc.—an award-winning Los Angeles-based creative agency. Her innovative approach to brand strategy and product positioning has generated hundreds of millions of dollars for her clients; garnered CMS the reputation as one of America’s top creative agencies; and positioned Diana as a leading expert on Brand. Her client list reads like the “Who’s Who” of the Fortune 500.
She has served on three for-profit Boards, one non-profit Board, and been a strategic branding consultant to the Board of Directors at Hewlett Packard, Varian Medical, Siemens, and others. Diana currently owns Noesis Communications, International, Inc., a high-end marketing / consulting agency. In September of 2022, she launched Noesis Management, an Intellectual Property licensing agency for film and television.
Among her numerous awards, Diana is an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year finalist; three-time nominee for the Los Angeles Business Journal Woman of the Year; a recipient of the prestigious Working Woman Entrepreneurial Excellence Award; and been awarded three Special Fellowships by the Academy of Magical Arts (Magic Castle), as well as a Lifetime Fellowship from the Society of American Magicians.
She is the best-selling author of the magical realism books “Kandide” that are in development for TV series. Her other books include Siegfried & Roy, Masters of the Impossible; Butterfly In A Storm; The True Story of Gisele Rufer Delance (founder of the elite Delance Swiss Watch Company); Tactical Abyss: MarCom’s Greatest Threat; Mahendra Shah: The Triumphs and Tragedies of a UN Change-maker (2023); Imagical Thinking (Sept 2024) and Why Most Branding Fails (2025). A vegan and Animal Rights activist, Diana works tirelessly to promote and improve animal welfare.
