Dennis Kleinman – British/South African Voice Actor

Personal Bio

Originating from Cape Town South Africa, Dennis grew up in a home filled with many artistic and progressive influences – his mother was well known abstract artist, his father a pioneer and founder in the liberal anti-apartheid political movement, and his close relationship with his aunt, an actress and radio personality based in London, created a fertile foundation. From an early age, Dennis was drawn to a creative life creating homemade radio theatre and entertaining friends and family with his impersonations and various accents. As South Africa was one of the only countries in the world to only start television broadcast in the mid-’70s, radio, reading and film were Dennis’ prime forms of entertainment.

He obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Cape Town, and then departed the country as he was opposed to the mandatory military service that was required at the time. Dennis joined his family who had already settled in Los Angeles in early 1980.

Dennis has a deep and resonant storyteller voice spoken with a gravitas filled British/South African accent. Having spent many extended periods in London, Dennis has a global international accent “A World Voice” that transcends geographic boundaries.  His many voice projects include narration for all forms of genres: Audiobooks・ eLearning・ Corporate・ Explainers・ Commercials・ Telephony・ Video Games ・ Animation. The consummate professional, Dennis’s clear enunciation, perfection, attention to detail, and passion for the spoken word, provides seamless integration in the approach, preparation, execution, and delivery that each production demands. He is extremely directable and very easy to work with.

With his ability to sound like David Attenborough, Winston Churchill, Anthony Hopkins, and various Bond characters, Dennis’s projects have included commercials and promos for TV networks, Awards Shows, and Corporate Branding. He is also a four times Voice Arts Awards nominee for his audiobook work.
