Daniel Leander (aka Danny King) is a versatile screenwriter, director, music producer, and songwriter with a strong foundation in stage and screenwriting. Specializing in drama, thriller, family, and comedy genres, his storytelling voice blends emotional depth, vivid imagery, and realistic, nuanced dialogue. Danny’s narratives often explore complex family dynamics, resilience, identity, and existential themes.

His feature scripts, Wedding Run, Color and Caught by the Roots have earned “Recommend” ratings from coverage, reflecting his strength in crafting character-driven stories that resonate on both personal and universal levels.

Danny’s creative journey began in childhood through writing, improvisation, and school plays, eventually leading him to write and direct award-winning stage productions during college competitions. His stage play addressing AIDS and helmet awareness received a special mention at M.S. University in 2018. Alongside his screenwriting career, Danny has also completed multiple original songs and produced music that draws from his eclectic artistic sensibility. With a Master’s degree in Commerce, he brings both a creative and strategic mindset to his work.
