Daniel Leander (Danny King) is a versatile screenwriter, director, and music producer known for blending suspense with emotional depth. Following the sale of his comedy short “Bye, Diana” to a Texas-based filmmaker, and Between Voices to a Delhi filmmaker, Danny has continued to garner acclaim, with three of his feature scripts, Wedding Run, Color, and Caught by the Roots, earning “Recommend” ratings for their vivid storytelling and realistic dialogue. Also his Short Comedy “Hold It” was selected for a table read by volunteers group of actors in Traverse City, Michigan.

An award-winning playwright and avid adventurer, Daniel draws from his experiences in wilderness trekking, biking and leadership to infuse his work with authenticity. Whether crafting grounded thrillers or sharp comedies, he focuses on character-driven narratives that explore resilience, identity, and the human condition.
