Personal Bio
Amy Starbin hails from the Catskills. After studying drama/lit at Hartwick College and Oxford University, she earned an MFA in film production at USC. Her thesis short won awards for cinematography, acting, and a special screenwriting nod from CineWomen. Her feature dramedy Kelly & Cal starred Juliette Lewis and premiered at SXSW 2014, where it won the Gamechanger Award for director Jen McGowan and was picked up by IFC. Her latest projects include indie drama LILIAN, with Alfred Molina attached for his directorial debut, and LOS ALIENS, a sci-fi short about an encounter between a migrant family making a desert border crossing and the extraterrestrial being invested in their fate.
