Al Jones resides and is a native of Phoenix, Arizona. Jones also holds a Masters Degree in Management Science from University of Central Texas, now Texas A&M University – Central Texas, a Bachelors Degree in Aviation Business Administration from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and an Associate Degree from the New Mexico Military Institute.

In 2018, Jones was awarded Best Feature Length Screenplay by the Horror Films of Hotlanta Horror Film Festival for his Twisted Fortune Cookies manuscript. That same year, he was awarded Runner-Up for the same title at the Oregon Scream Week Horror Film Festival for Fall 2018.
