ABOUT THE SPEAKERS:
David Daniel is a
Senior Producer at CNN. He has been a broadcast
journalist for CNN and the late lamented CNN Headline News
for more than 25 years. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Daniel
graduated from Boston University’s College of Communication with a degree in
Broadcast Journalism. In his non-existent spare time, he serves as an
adjunct instructor at USC’s Annenberg School of Communication and Journalism.
He loves trivia and movies and is addicted to the printed word.
Daniel has interviewed Oscar and Grammy winners, run marathons, and
copy-edited the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Emmy Award-winning journalist
Anita
Bennett is Senior Editor of the Los Angeles
Daily News. Prior to her current post, Bennett served as
deputy editor at Hollywood business website TheWrap.com.
In addition to managing a staff of bloggers and reporters, she wrote
several exclusive reports that generated millions of views and helped raise the
site’s traffic and profile. Previously, Bennett worked as a digital
journalist on the website for KTLA Channel 5. She
spent several years as a producer and writer at Los Angeles Fox affiliate
KTTV Channel 11 and sister station KCOP Channel
13. She also worked as an on-camera news reporter at
L.A. Cityview 35. Bennett speaks Spanish and
studied in Spain as a Fulbright scholar.
