CASTING
KOREAN ACTORS FOR SHORT FILM
SHOOTING IN NEW YORK
We are now casting ACTORS who are
FLUENT KOREAN SPEAKERS for a short film entitled KIMCHI,
shooting late March 2017 in New York City (one role requires Korean who speaks
Japanese).
Status:
This is a SAG short film.
Rate:
$125 per day (according to SAG short film rate), plus transportation
and meals.
ROLES:
EUN-HEE
Female / 45-60 yrs old /
Korean. Eun-Hee is a middle-aged Korean woman who is trying to make
her visiting daughter’s stay comfortable, despite difficult circumstances.
As things become more complicated, Eun-Hee must speak her mind.
Talent MUST be Korean and fluent in Korean.
Additional English fluency is a plus.
KYUNG-JA
Female / Age 65-80 /
Korean. A smart and witty grandmother. When her husband
becomes gravely ill, she decides that she no longer wants to eat.
Talent MUST be Korean and fluent in Korean. Additional
English fluency is a plus.
YOUNG-SIK
Maler / Age 65-80 / Korean.
A grandfather left physically weak due to a serious illness.
As his family debates about his end-of-life care, he reflects on his
life with his granddaughter’s Japanese boyfriend. Talent MUST be
Korean and must speak JAPANESE either proficiently or fluently.
Additional Korean and English fluency is a plus.
