HIRING SOUND MIXER / BOOM OPERATOR, AND GAFFER
FILM SHOOT
We are HIRING SOUND MIXER / BOOM OPERATOR, and a GAFFER for an upcoming film shoot in Los Angeles (two positions).
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Job Type: Freelance
Date: Shooting is scheduled for March 2nd, 2024
Here are the details for the TWO positions:
1) SOUND MIXER / BOOM OPERATOR WITH LAY MICS & OWN EQUIPMENT
We are currently seeking an experienced Sound Mixer/Boom Operator with a specialization in lav mics and who owns their equipment to join our team for an upcoming project in the Los Angeles area. If you have the necessary expertise and gear, we would love to hear from you!
RATE: $200-$550 per day (negotiable, depending upon experience)
Responsibilities:
– Capture high-quality audio using lav mics and other equipment
– Operate boom microphone to capture clear dialogue and ambient sound
– Collaborate with the production team to ensure optimal sound recording
– Set up and maintain audio equipment throughout the shoot
Requirements:
– Proven experience as a Sound Mixer/Boom Operator
– Own equipment, including lav mics and relevant sound recording gear
– Ability to adapt to different shooting styles and environments
– Strong communication and collaboration skills
2) GAFFER WITH LIGHTS AND ATMOSPHERE NECESSITIES:
We are currently in search of an experienced Gaffer with their own lights and expertise in creating atmospheric lighting for an upcoming project in the Los Angeles area. If you have a passion for lighting design and own the necessary equipment, we invite you to join our team!
RATE: $150-$300 per day (negotiable, depending upon experience)
Responsibilities:
– Design and set up lighting schemes to enhance the visual atmosphere of the production
– Operate and manage lighting equipment during the shoot
– Collaborate with the director of photography and production team to achieve the desired visual aesthetic
– Ensure the safety and proper functioning of all lighting equipment
Requirements:
– Proven experience as a Gaffer
– Own lighting equipment and accessories
– Creative ability to design and execute various lighting setups
– Flexibility to adapt to different shooting styles and environments
– Strong communication and collaboration skills
