A not-to-be-missed one-time event for filmmakersproducers, writers, and content creators of all types –  who want to know the inside scoop on how to get your low budget (or no-budget!) film made, and distributed from instructors who have already done it!

No Budget Film School presents an all-new series of live, FREE Zoom webinars No Budget Confidential.

Producer and No Budget Film School founder Mark Stolaroff conducts off-the-record interviews with no-budget filmmakers, who against all odds, willed their no-budget features into being.  Get the inside scoop on how these micro-budget masterpieces were put together — all the nitty-gritty — directly from the filmmakers themselves!

Stolaroff moderates the discussion with the filmmaker, shows clips and stills that illustrate the ideas and techniques divulged, and then opens it up for questions from attendees, all live.

This episode features filmmaker Robert Machoian, the writer/director/producer/editor of the indie sensation The Killing of Two Lovers.  Robert shot the film in 12 days with a 5-person crew for $30,000, then spent another $30,000 in post on sound design.  The film was accepted into the 2020 Sundance Film Festival and was picked up for distribution by Neon, one of the top indie distributors in the business.  It was released theatrically earlier this year in the U.S. and sold internationally through top foreign sales company The Exchange.  The success of the film allowed Robert to raise a high six figure budget on his next feature, which he is finishing up now.  Two Lovers was nominated for the prestigious Cassavetes Award at the 2021 Spirit Awards (given to the best low-budget feature of the year).

We’ll take you through the entire process of making The Killing Of Two Lovers, including financing, casting, shooting, post-production, festivals, and securing distribution.

PLUS:  WE’LL DISCUSS:

•  Getting the most with a tiny crew

•  Shooting in a small town

•  Working with name actors on a micro-budget

•  Leveraging the unique resources available to you.

•  PLUS – Managing a Sundance hit and getting the money to make your follow-up feature, as well as taking bold creative risks that pay off!
