LAURA INGALLS (series regular):

Character is portrayed to be 9-11 years old.  Laura is a disruptor.  Honest to a fault.  Questions authority.  She is observant, tender, strong-willed, and hot-tempered.  She resists the bounds of 19th-century ladylike behavior – she likes to hunt, run barefoot & feel the sun on her face.  She is curious, optimistic, fearless & is quick to confront anyone who is cruel or unjust.  She loves fiercely, unapologetically & is utterly devoted to her dog, Jack.  She absorbs every detail she sees around her, collecting them for stories she will someday share with the world.

Introduction:

Based on the iconic book series written by Laura Ingalls Wilder, Netflix’s Little House on the Prairie is an epic & thrilling family adventure of the mythic American West.  Since its original publication in the 1930s, the LITTLE HOUSE book series & brand has remained a constant in the global zeitgeist.  The classic novels have sold over 73 million copies in more than 100 countries, translated into at least 27 languages.

Project Synopsis:

Part hopeful family drama, part epic survival tale, & part origin story of the American West, this fresh adaptation of Laura Ingalls Wilder’s iconic semi-autobiographical Little House books offers a kaleidoscopic view of the struggles & triumphs of those who shaped the frontier.
