CASTING ACTORS FOR LEAD ROLES

CASTING FOR PAID SHORT FILM

We are now CASTING ACTORS for several PAID LEAD ROLES in the upcoming short film Lena.

Talent should be in the SoCal area (shoot is in Temecula, CA)

ROLES:

ADNAN — Boy, plays 12–13

Should be or appear Palestinian.  Open to legal 18+ to play, younger, or a true minor (guardian required).  Loyal, impulsive, brave; bonds deeply with a newborn lamb and undertakes a risky night journey.

Musts:  Palestinian-Arabic fluency; strong emotional access; comfortable handling/carrying a lamb; night-exterior stamina.

Works:  All 3 days (Nov 21, 22, 23).

Pays $200 per day.

HIND — 40s/50s, mother

Should be or appear Palestinian.  Warm, worried, resilient; protects her son while holding the family together.

Musts: Palestinian-Arabic fluency; grounded maternal truth; quick emotional turns.

Works: 1–2 days within the shoot window.

Pays: $150-$200 per day.

AMIN — 40s/50s, father; strong fallāḥi (rural/working-class) type. Calm, practical protector; steady presence under pressure.

Should be or appear Palestinian.

Musts: Palestinian-Arabic fluency; restrained power; grounded authority.

Works: 1–2 days within the shoot window. Pay: $150 to $200 per day

Synopsis:

A 12-year-old Palestinian boy risks a midnight journey to rescue a newborn lamb taken in a raid, pulling his fractured family toward hope.

Shoot:  Nov 21–23, 2025

Location: Temecula, CA (travel + lodging provided if needed)

Union:  SAG-AFTRA Micro-Budget or Non-Union (open to both SAG and Non-SAG talent)

Compensation: $150-$200 per day (see above), including IMDb, Reel, and food on set.

Language:  Palestinian Arabic (native or near-native)
