CASTING ACTOR (MALE/28-40/ALL ETHNICITIES)

PAID PILOT SIZZLE REEL SHOOT IN NYC

We are now CASTING an ACTOR in the greater NYC area for the following role in a shoot for a pilot sizzle.

ROLE:

BRENT

Male / ages 28 – 40 / All ethnicities

Intellectual with a native New York City swag.  Good looking but not too much. Dark features and hair, athletic – average build. A graphic designer who brand manages a sneaker company.  He loves indie and golden era hip hop.  He feels most like himself when he’s with Gizel, his lover on the low for five years who is transgender.  But when his feelings for Gizel begin to grow, Brent struggles with his masculine ideology and tensions rise.

Show Synopsis:
Based on the life of show creator and star, Nomi Ruiz, Homegirl examines current socio-economic issues of gender, race, class, sex & sexuality through the gaze of Gizel Gonzales, a Puerto-Rican, native New Yorker from Brooklyn struggling with family dynamics and striving to succeed in love and life in the music industry as a trans woman.

Scene Synopsis:

Brent and his lover Gizel chat while in bed.  Things heat up after Brent is offended by one of Gizel’s insensitive jokes and the conversation spins into an argument with more serious tones.  Actor will be asked to perform half the scene in underwear.  Role also requires intimacy (kissing, light touching) with transgender actress.   Intimacy coach will be present on set.

NO DRUGS OR ALCOHOL on set.  Any alcohol or beer will be will be a substituted for water or apple juice.
