Green Lava is the uplifting, inspirational, and heartfelt story of Giacomo Mattivi, who has had a lifelong struggle with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy – and meets it with a kind of courage that is hard to describe until you see him on screen.  This film started out as a film about Giacomo, but he ended up making this an inspiring story about how to live.  Pope Francis met Giacomo and loved him – this film was produced in collaboration with The Vatican.  We finished this film in his memory, and Friday is our chance to honor them both.

The premiere also opens our Oscar qualifying run in Los Angeles, so a full house matters more than usual.  Red carpet, screening, Q&A, then a reception where we can finally thank you in person.  A submission for Best Documentary Short and the first film to be done with the Vatican to be submitted for Oscar consideration

RSVP FOR YOUR FREE TICKETS NOW:

(Feel free to bring a guest!)

Come meet Giacomo. It would mean a lot.

If the premiere on Friday doesn’t work in your schedule, please come to one of our other screenings – we are screening daily through September 25th.  After clicking “Request to Join” at the link above, select that date you wish to attend from the pull-down menu.
