Film Festival at Hollywood Park is the first and only film festival at Los Angeles’ newest premiere entertainment hub, Hollywood Park.  This 300-acre complex — the largest urban development in the western United States — is in the heart of Los Angeles, just 3 miles from LAX.

The sprawling campus boasts world-class venues including SoFi Stadium, YouTube Theater, Kia Forum, and the primary site of the 2024 Summer Olympics.  Now, with the arrival of this festival, Hollywood Park is home to a world-class film event with screenings taking place at the state-of-the-art Cinepolis Luxury Cinemas at Hollywood Park.

The mission of the festival is to exhibit in the Film Capital of the world independent films from a wide array of genres and filmmakers from throughout the U.S. and abroad. The vast majority of the films screened at the festival will be making their Los Angeles theatrical premieres.

Our primary focus is to explore the cultural diversity and contemporary social and political issues of the modern urban landscape. In a phrase, the festival is dedicated to promoting diversity in cinema. Specifically, the festival strives to showcase filmmakers from demographic groups traditionally underrepresented by the major studios. These groups include women, people of color and members of the LGBTQ+ communities as well persons with disabilities, the economically disenfranchised, people experiencing homelessness, the recently incarcerated and so on.

AWARDS & PRIZES

As an all-genre film festival, we offer a full array of awards for feature-length, short-content, fiction and nonfiction.  Each award-winner receives a customized award certification and award laurels.  All of our award-winning films are announced in a press release at the conclusion of the festival, which is distributed by our PR agency to major media outlets.

New World-Class Film Festival in Southern California – October 6–12, 2025

100+ Films to Screen at Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas at 300-Acre Hollywood Park Entertainment Campus in Inglewood,

Located in the heart of Inglewood just 3 miles from LAX,  Hollywood Park is the largest entertainment complex in the western U.S., anchored by the iconic SoFi Stadium—host of the 2026 World Cup and 2028 Olympics.  This dynamic entertainment campus also features the Kia Forum and YouTube Theater, renowned for world-class concerts, along with Cosm, a cutting-edge 65,000-square-foot immersive entertainment venue, and the state-of-the-art Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas.  This venue adds an extra layer of prestige and global recognition to the event. The arrival of the film festival marks the first time a world-class film event will be hosted at Hollywood Park.

The Film Festival at Hollywood Park will bring together filmmakers, industry professionals, and film enthusiasts to experience a diverse lineup of over 100 movie screenings, panel discussions, educational workshops, and special events. With a long-term vision of becoming a premier festival on par with Tribeca, SXSW, and Sundance, the festival will spotlight both seasoned and emerging talent while fostering meaningful connections between creators, businesses, and the local community.

The festival’s non-profit organizers bring over two decades of experience producing film festivals in Los Angeles, including the celebrated Silver Lake Film Festival (2000–2008) and DTLA Film Festival (2008–2023).  Like its predecessors, the Film Festival at Hollywood Park will present a broad range of independent and foreign films with an emphasis on diversity.

“We’re thrilled that our organization has been selected to host Hollywood Park’s first film festival. Film Festival at Hollywood Park is confirmation that the independent film industry is alive and thriving in Los Angeles and beyond,” says festival co-founder Henry Priest.

In addition to the 5-day film festival in the fall, organizers plan to launch a monthly screening series at Cinépolis beginning this spring.  “The new screening series will reflect our ethos of highlighting the best in emerging film talent as well as paying homage to innovators of the past,” says Carolyn Schroeder, Director of Programming.  Details of the screening series will be announced soon.

Festival organizers are also looking ahead to a special sports-centric edition of the festival to coincide with Hollywood Park’s role in the 2028 Summer Olympics. “Our festival is committed to exploring the future of cinema while honoring a tradition of fearless innovation and diversity in programming,” says co-founder and Festival Director Greg Ptacek.

Film Festival at Hollywood Park is proudly sponsored by Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas and Hollywood Park.

Produced by an IRS tax-exempt, charitable nonprofit organization first established in 2000, the festival is dedicated to promoting diversity in cinema. Its mission is to exhibit a wide array of independent films of all genres from filmmakers throughout the U.S. and abroad in the Film Capital of the World.  The festival explores cultural diversity and contemporary social and political issues of the modern urban landscape.  Specifically, it seeks to showcase filmmakers from demographic groups traditionally underrepresented by the major studios, including women, people of color, and members of the LGBTQ+ communities.
