Randy Woodley is an award-winning author and screenwriter whose work centers Indigenous voices and challenges Western worldviews. A mixed-race Native American writer with a PhD in Intercultural Studies, Randy has penned ten acclaimed books including “Journey to Eloheh” (co-authored with wife Edith) and “Indigenous Theology and the Western Worldview.” His feature film scripts and television pilots focus on Western, historical, and contemporary stories that empower Indigenous people.
A former Distinguished Professor Emeritus and Director of Indigenous and Intercultural Studies, Randy brings decades of cross-cultural experience to his storytelling. He and Edith operate Eloheh Indigenous Center for Earth Justice and a 10-acre regenerative teaching farm in Oregon, living the values they write about. Through their cultural consulting company Sho-Kee, they guide productions toward authentic Indigenous representation.
Randy’s writing combines scholarly depth with accessible truth-telling humor, consistently elevating people of color—especially Indigenous people—from victims to agents of their own stories. His work has garnered recognition in literary circles and accolades in screenwriting, reflecting his unique ability to bridge academic rigor with mainstream appeal while maintaining an unwavering commitment to justice and racial equality.
