Personal Bio
Ian Patrick Williams, a native Chicagoan, attended the Goodman School of Drama and worked extensively for five years in the Chicago theater scene, most notably with the Organic Theater Company. He shared the Chicago Emmy award for co-authoring the PBS teleplay BLEACHER BUMS, which was later adapted and produced as a M.O.W. by SHOWTIME.
After moving to L.A., he has amassed over 100 professional credits on TV, film and commercials. He has also worked for the not-for-profit organization Enrichment Works, writing and directing seven one act plays that toured the LAUSD school systems. His short play NORMAL SHNORMAL won the first place Gold Quill award at the 2017 Tehachapi One Act Festival. His one act PROVENANCE was recently produced at L.A.’s Ensemble Studio Theater’s One Act Play Festival. His latest play SLAVE TRADE was recently filmed as part of a fund-raising event for Theater Resources Unlimited in New York City.
The film GANGSTER LAND for which he wrote the screenplay was recently released by Status Media Entertainment.
