Personal Bio
David B. White is a versatile professional, excelling as a Freelance Videographer, Small Business Owner, and Instructor. Since spring 2022, he has brought his expertise to The Art Institute of Atlanta as a dedicated educator.
With a rich media background spanning multi-camera productions, live streaming events, and independent freelance projects, David has honed his craft over the years. His entrepreneurial journey began in 2015 when he established his own small business.
Prior to his civilian career, David served with distinction in the United States Marine Corps from January 2000 to January 2020. Starting as a Warehouse Clerk, he transitioned to roles in Telecommunications Systems and eventually rose to become a Network System Chief at Marine Corp Base, Camp LeJeune NC. Notably, he served as a Drill Instructor at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island SC, where he trained over 2,000 Marines in three years. His military accolades include the Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Drill Instructor ribbon, Combat Action ribbon, and Sea Service Deployment.
David’s academic journey began at the Art Institute of Atlanta in 1997, where he studied Digital Filmmaking & Video Production. He furthered his education with a Bachelor of Science in Management/Computer Information Systems from Park University. Complementing his academic achievements are certifications in Lean Six Sigma, Film & TV Industry Essentials from Yellow Brick NYU, and Film & TV Production from GFA/GTC. Currently, he is pursuing his Master of Fine Arts in Television and Digital Media.
