Robby DeFrain

I started making movies at 13, shooting 8mm tape and editing with 2 VCRs hooked up together. Since then, I’ve worked on over 200 episodes of TV, 9 films, and countless promos, commercials, & web videos. I’m passionate about sharing my creativity to enhance creators’ visions.

I have extensive leadership experience in post production – with 6 years as lead editor or post super – including multiple credits in sound design, color grading, visual effects compositing, motion graphics, and post workflow consultant.

In 2022, I spent 300 hours animating, editing, and compositing a short film that screened at Cannes Shorts Film Fest, along with 62 other worldwide festivals, with 32 awards and counting.  In 2020-21, I led a team of 4 editors and assistants on Wolfboy and The Everything Factory – season 2 recently premiered on Apple TV+.  I’m fluent in Premiere, Avid, After Effects, Cinema 4D, PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign, and more.
